Originally one of the coast's most active and developed Coast Guard stations, and subsequently a marine biological research center, this is now a day-use state park. The light station now houses a museum. The park has excellent hiking trails affording amazing views of the coastline. This is a good location for Whale Watching in season. Quality experiences await visitors to more than 200 state parks managed for the public by the Oregon State Parks.
