The Oregon Coast Aquarium is committed to resource conservation. The Aquarium is a regular sponsor of Stop Oregon litter and Vandalism's annual spring Beach Clean Up. The Aquarium is involved with animal conservation through a seabird rehabilitation program carried out in collaboration with the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife, through participation in the National Marine Fisheries' marine mammal stranding network, through a western pond turtle rehabilitation program, and through participation in animal conservation coalitions and task forces within the zoo and aquarium community.
