Each year about 35,000 Oregon schoolchildren from kindergarten to twelfth grade take advantage of the Aquarium as a living clasroom. Many participate in an extensive curriculum of on-site, interactive lessons, developed and taught by aquarium educators. Self-guided class materials are also available. A special schedule of camps and classes are held in summer months.
Volunteers stationed throughout the exhibit areas are available to answer questions about the animals and their habitats.
On-going programs for the general public include public feedings for sea otters, seals, sea lions and seabirds and special events including workshops, children's activities, lectures and field trips.
