The BLM-owned Quartzville Recreation Mining Corridor, near Sweethome, is an area rich in recreational opportunities. It is popular with rock-hounds because of its easy access. Quartzville Recreation Mining Corridor is historically significant and is well-known for its opportunities for recreational mining.

The corridor begins at the large green sign at Rocky Top Bridge and ends at the Willmette National Forest Boundary. Recreational mining is only allowed in the mainstem of Quartzville Creek. Dredging and highbanking are allowed.
