The Springwater Corridor is a former rail corridor that has been converted to an alternative transportation and recreation trail. The trail is a major segment of the 40-Mile Loop, which was originally planned in 1903 to encircle the city of Portland. Today, the loop is over 170 miles long.

The Springwater Corridor extends from SE Fourth & Ivon in Portland to Boring. The asphalt trail serves hundreds of thousands of commuters and recreational trail users annually. Popular for walking, horseback riding, bicycling, and in-line skating. The trail is wheelchair accessible.
