This 2 mile trail meanders through old growth forest, mountain meadows, and rocky ridges to the base of a 200 ft. rock outcrop called Steins Pillar. The pillar is popular with rock climbers. Panoramic views of the Mill Creek Valley are common. From Prineville, travel east 9 miles on Highway 26 to Mill Creek Road (Forest Road #33). Travel northeast for 6.5 miles. Turn right on Forest Road #3300-500.
