The Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory is a private, not-for-profit scientific and educational organization located in Sunriver, Oregon. Hands-on exhibits and nature talks highlight the mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and birds of Central Oregon; native wildflowers, shrubs, and trees are featured in the Botanical Garden. Observe sunspots and solar prominences through special filters at the on-site Observatory, or resident bald eagles and a dormant volcano along the Sam Osgood Nature Trail. The center's enthusiastic staff and volunteers provide visitors with a fun and thoughtful view of our natural environment. Special events are hosted throughout the year. The Nature Center and Observatory are open to the public from March 24-September 3; hours of operation vary, so call ahead for schedule. Located next to Lake Aspen on River Road.
