Tahkenitch Lake |
Tahkenitch Lake is off Highway 101 north of Gardiner on the Oregon Coast. Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area has a boat launch and nearby campgrounds.
This is the only remaining large undeveloped lake on the Oregon Coast. The lake is 1,500 acres in extent and borders 10,000 acres of undeveloped forest land. Visitors to the lake enjoy fishing for bass, trout, perch, and many more species.
