The U.S. Forest Service maintains several areas on Taylor Creek Road (Forest Road 2500), which turns off the Merlin-Galice Road 1.5 miles past Indian Mary Park. - Tin Can (Milepost 7)
Secluded and primitive. Two campsites with barbeque pits. Tables and toilet (no water). Day hiking trails nearby. - Big Pine (Milepost 12)
Serene, lots of space. World's largest Ponderosa pine. Playground. Overnight camping. Water, toilets, dump station. - Sam Brown (Milepost 14)
Watchable wildlife trail. Hiking and horse trails. Horse corrals. 25 campsites, some groups site. Water & toilets. - Secret Creek (Milepost 19)
Small, restful creekside stop. 2 picnic tables with drinking water.
