At the Troutdale Historical Society their business is old business. The past is their major interest. The Troutdale Historical society is are pledged to preserve the history of the Troutdale area as well as the Sandy River and the Columbia River Gorge.

The society offers entertaining and informative meetings October through May. Special events throughout the summer include an old-fashioned ice cream social in June, a fall Harvest Faire, a Troutdale school reunion and a festive Christmas open house.

The society operates both the Harlow House and the Troutdale Rail Depot museums.
