U-Pick Oysters

Bandon oysters, clams, and mussels are some of the best in the world!

Check out the new mobile version of Online Highways with compact, up-to-the-minute information for Bandon.

The beautiful Coquille River is one of the best mollusk growing areas on the southern Oregon Coast. Fresh water filtered by dense forests and enriched by lush wetlands is mixed with salt water churned by the powerful Pacific, making the mouth of the Coquille River perfect for growing delicious oysters, mussels, and clams.

Our delectable morsels can be picked from two hours before until two hours after low tide. The western US has two high tides and two low tides each day: Only during the low tides are water-living oysters, mussels, and clams exposed for picking. Check local tide tables for specific times during daylight hours.
