The Wallowa Tramway offers a spectacular 15-minute ride to an elevation of 8200 feet, the steepest vertical rise in North America. The tramway operates from June through September. Food is available at the Wallowa Lake Tramway Grill and visitors can wander along 2.5 miles of groomed trails and enjoy views of the
Eagle Cap Wilderness, the blue waters of
Wallowa Lake, and Idaho's Seven Devils mountain range.
