The Oregon Zoo's 65 acres are nestled into beautiful Washington park, five minutes from downtown Portland. Exhibits are designed to replicate the natural geographic regions of each species.
In addition to being Oregon's most popular paid attraction, the zoo is committed to conservation, research, and education. It is home to 26 endangered and 40 threatened species, and it participates in 13 species survival plans.
More than 70,000 students participate in community outreach programs and 80,000 students supplement their classroom learning with field trips to the zoo.
