The Governor was built in 1909 and now has the historic character of early Oregon with modern day conveniences. One entire wall of the lobby depicts the Lewis and Clark journey to Oregon from 1804 - 1806. Rooms are oversized and decorated with touches of Native American motif. The hotel is located downtown and has a complete health center with running tracks, lap pool, steam room, and sauna. While offering modern conveniences the hotel also boasts fireplaces, outdoor decks, and Jakes' Grill Steak and Seafood Restaurant.
