Wallowa County

Established in 1887, Wallowa County in the far northeast corner of Oregon consists of 3,153 square miles and has a population of over 7,200. The county seat is Enterprise. The county is isolated from major transportation routes, being connected by Highway 62 to Interstate 84 and by Highway 3 to Washington State. Hells Canyon National Recreation Area is to the east; the canyon itself is an impassable barrier to normal transportation.
