Altoona

Altoona is located in Blair County northeast of Johnstown along US Highway 220 on the banks of the Little Juniata River near Raystown Lake. A series of stockades, including Fort Roberdeau (a National Historic Site), were constructed in the region in the late 1700s, as a defense against Indian raids.

Altoona is part of the Altoona, Pennsylvania metro area.
