Kennet Square Borough |
The town of Kennett Square is situated in the beautiful Brandywine Valley in southern Chester County, about three (3) miles west of world-renowned Longwood Gardens. With the area's favorable climate, rich soils, prosperous agricultural base, plus a corps of creative entrepreneurial citizens, Kennett Square has long been a leader in both agriculture and industry. This smallest town in America has its own symphony orchestra, The Kennett Symphony of Chester County, which it has supported for over 50 years. It is also home to the national headquarters of Genesis HealthCare, one of the nation’s leading providers of long term care and rehabilitation therapy services. Many of the homes and buildings in the Borough are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
