Founded in 1885, this is an independent liberal arts womens institution. The 2 graduate schools are coeducational and the undergraduate programs are for women only. The 135 acre campus is in a suburban area 10 miles west of Philadelphia. Includingresidence halls, there are 57 buildings, many of which are historic.

There are more than 100 clubs and organizations on campus. Campus tours are available.
