The Hope Station Building, which is home to The Fire House Restaurant, is the oldest standing firehouse in the city of Harrisburg and is the second oldest in Pennsylvania. Inspired by a devastating fire on Christmas Eve in 1813, the Hope Station Fire Company was founded in 1814. The building which houses the restaurant, Hope Station #2 was built in 1871. The Fire House Restaurant provides quality lunch, dinner and drinks. The menu features soups, salads, pastas, seafood, and much more. The 3rd floor is available for private parties of up to 100 people, and includes a full service bar, stage and dance floor in a casual/upscale atmosphere.
