This is known as the home of the dinosaurs. Dinosaur Hall features 10 full skeletons, including a Tyrannosaurus rex. The Walton Hall of Ancient Egypt illustrates daily life through artifacts and interactive computer and videotape programs. Artifacts and displays in Polar World trace the cultural history of Inuit peoples and their adaptation to the Arctic. Benedum Hall of Geology exhibits interpret Pennsylvania geology; Hillman Hall of Minerals and Gems features crystallography and mineral formations. Halls of African and North American Wildlife show animals in realistic natural habitats. Open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm (also Monday, July-August), Sunday 1-5pm. Guided tours are given.
