Established in 1900, this is a private nonsectarian institution offering undergraduate programs in liberal arts and science and professional technology. There are 6 undergraduate and 7 graduate schools. The 103 acre campus is in a suburban area 4 miles from downtown Pittsburgh. Including residence halls, there are 60 buildings. Active fraternities, sororities and over 120 clubs and organizations are on campus. Campus tours are available.
