Raystown Lake is a 29,000 acre project with 12 public access areas, an 8,000 acre lake, picnic areas, beaches, boat launches, campgrounds, trails, hunting, fishing, and marina concession stands, and is operated and maintained by the Army Corps of Engineers. Eagles are now nesting at Raystown Lake. The nearby activities are amusement, biking, birding, boating, camping, canoeing or kayaking, caves, fishing, golfing, hiking, horseback riding, picnicking, shopping, swimming, and water skiing.
