The main attraction at Elk State Park is the 1,160-acre lake with unlimited horsepower boating. For the more adventurous, water-skiing is an alternative to the serenity of fishing on the lake and in nearby streams. The lake and streams are stocked with both warm and cold water species of fish. Swimming is not permitted in the lake. A swimming pool is available at Bendigo State Park, approximately 13 miles away on PA Route 1004.
Elk State Park is located approximately 8 miles west of Wilcox on State Route 1006 and about 9 miles south of Clermont on State Route 1001.
