Situated in the Tussey Mountains, on the Raystown branch of the Juniata River, eight miles east of the county seat. Everett is located in Bedford County, in the Eastern Region of the state. Borough Population 2000: 1,905. Time zone: Eastern Daylight Saving.

This town was originated due to it's location on the main route between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. John Patton built the first recorded home in 1838, (The Patton House is still standing).
