Spectacularly situated on a bluff overlooking the Susquehanna River and Blue Mountain Range, this 40 acre park invites visitors to relax and explore Pennsylvania history. Professionally guided tours of the elegantly restored Mansion look back in time to sophisticated country living in the nineteenth century. Fort Hunter is a 19th century plantation complex hosting nine structures listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Various outbuildings spark visitors' imaginations into the past. Fort Hunter Park offers picnic pavilions, children's play equipment, a free walking tour brochure, a river front walking area, and a portion of the Pennsylvania Canal Trail.
