Halifax is located in
Dauphin County just north of
Harrisburg between Millersburg and Powells Valley along Highway 147 on the banks of the Susquehanna River near the Clarks Creek Reservoir. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 902, a decrease of 9 since 1990.
Halifax is part of the Harrisburg-Lebanon-Carlisle metro area.
