Hollidaysburg is located in
Blair County, of which it is the county seat. The town was established in 1796 and grew from a small market and tavern town into an important inland shipping terminal on the Pennsylvania Canal. The Hollidaysburg Historic District features many buildings from the canal era, as well as an exceptional collection of Gothic Revival, Italianate, and Queen Anne architecture.
Hollidaysburg is part of the Altoona, Pennsylvania metro area.
