Founded in 1875, this is a public institution and member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Offering programs in liberal and fine arts, business, preengineering, health science, military science, teacher preparation, basic and applied science, social science and humantities, criminology, and safety science. There are 6 undergraduate and 1 graduate school. The 342 acre campus is in a small town 50 miles northeast of
Pittsburgh. Including residence halls there are 70 buildings.
