Situated within the town limits of historic Jim Thorpe (formerly called Mauch Chunk), this 28-acre wooded campground offers every modern convenience the camping family could desire. All campsites are level, spacious and wooded. The main tent area is separate from the recreational vehicle area and both are well back from the road so you can count on a quiet's night rest. Camp amid the laurel bloom in May and June and enjoy the rhododendron blooms in July. Enjoy a swim in the pool while the kids play in the wading pool. There is also a mountain stream that borders the campground and many miles of mountain bike trails which run through it. Hikers will be interested in the fifteen miles of restored switchback railroad track. This unique track was built in 1827 to transport coal from the mountains to the Lehigh River.
