Milford is located in northeastern Pennsylvania, within
Pike County, of which it is the county seat. It is situated east of
Scranton along Highway 6 on the banks of the Delaware River near the New Jersey border. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 1,304, an increase of 240 since 1990.
Milford is part of the Newburgh, New York-Pennsylvania metro area.
