Packwood House Museum

Built between 1796-99, it is one of the oldest log structures of its kind in Pennsylvania. The building has evolved into a three-story edifice with 27 rooms that contain a collection of 18th- through 20th-century Americana, especially central Pennsylvanian artifacts. Included in the collection are quilts, textiles, guns, deeds, painted furniture, paintings, glass and ceramics. The house and exhibitions are visited by guided tour only. Tours start at the adjacent tour center. Museum, tour center open Tuesday - Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm, closed in January
