This center has extensive displays of mounted specimens of birds native to the area. Bird lists are available at the center. Visitors can take the Nature Trail which is a quarter mile long paved track and starts next to the center. Signs along the trail identify many of the region's native trees. Benches and observation platforms overlooking the refuge waters of the eastern end of Pymatuning Reservoir are additional amenities. This area of Pymatuning State Park is popular with birders. Bald Eagles exist in the area and the adjacent refuge waters are populated with migratory waterfowl.
