Rodef Shalom Biblical Botanical Garden |
Located near Carnegie Mellon University, the garden displays more than 150 varieties of flora -- each with a biblical name or reference. The one-third acre setting is reminiscent of ancient Israel; a stream flowing through the garden represents the River Jordan. Parking is available behind the synagogue. Open Sunday-Thursday 10am-2pm (also Wednesday 7-9pm), Saturday noon-1pm, June 1-September 15. Admission is free to the public.
