Built in the early 1860s and preserved from garret to cellar with period furnishings. The tour includes the basement saloon, which George Washington Schriver operated during the Civil War. Costumed guides interpret family life as it was during the Battle of
Gettysburg, when the house was occupied by Confederate sharpshooters, and after the fighting, when the dwelling was used as a hospital. Open Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm, April-November; by appointment in December and February-March. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
