Founded in 1889, this is a public institution and is part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. It offers programs in the arts and sciences, education, health and human services and information science and business administration. There are 4 undergraduate and 1 graduate schools. The 600 acre campus is in a small town 50 miles north of Pittsburgh. Including residence halls, there are 60 buildings. Fraternities, sororities and over 120 clubs and organizations are on campus. Tours of the campus are offered.
