Prince Edward Island

Prince Edward Island is the smallest but most thickly populated province of Canada. Although the people live in small, scattered communities, the average number of people per square mile is greater than in any other province. Charlottetown is the capital.

PEI lies in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Fishing and agriculture are the island's chief sources of income. Miles of sandy beaches attract vacationers during the summer.
