The museum presents archaeology and history at the place where Montreal was originally founded on May 18, 1642. The museum features a multimedia presentation, holographic conversations and thematic exhibitions. It was designed by architect Dan Hanganu and was built as part of the celebration of Montreal's 350th anniversary in 1992.
