Located over 2 hours west of San Juan visitors to Rio Camuy board a tram to descend into this forest-filled sinkhole at the mouth of the Clara Cave. They walk following the footpaths of a 170 foot high cave to a deeper sinkhole. Once inside, a 45 minute tour explains differences between stalactites and stalgmites for both children and adults.

One of the world's largest underground rivers carved the Rio Camuy Caves in northwest Puerto Rico ages ago, which experts today consider to be among the most spectacular on earth. The caves contain evidence of occupation long before the island was sighted by Columbus in 1493.
