Located in a Spanish colonial-style building at the corner of Calle MacArthur, this cultural center served as San Juan's main marketplace in the mid-19th century. Local art exhibits are displayed in the east and west galleries, and available audiovisual materials show the history of the city. The museum also hosts other major area cultural events at various times of the year, staged in the museum's large courtyard. Admission to the museum is free to the publc.
