Located on College Hill at the end of College St., Brown was founded in 1764. It was originally called "Rhode Island College," and it was located in Warren. However, in 1770 it was relocated to
Providence.

The College is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM (during the academic year). The college is also open during the summer from 8 AM to 4 PM.
