Oscar and Evelyn Overton are one of the few people who can say that they truly fulfilled the American Dream.
It all started a long time ago, 1940 to be precise, when Evelyn opened her first Cheesecake shop, located in Detroit, Michigan. At first business was very hard, and times were tough, even though Evelyn was an excellent cook. However, Evelyn decided that it would be best to "close down shop," and move to Los Angleles to raise her two small children.
Once in Los Angeles, she started her business again, and once again, times were tough. Eventually people began to hear of her culinary arts, and Evelyn began to make some real money.
