Herreshoff Marine MuseumAmerica's Cup Hall of Fame |
Located on Hwy 114 at the junction of Burnside and Hope Sts, this museum contains the America's Cup Hall of Fame as well as 40 original sailing and power yachts designed and built by the Herreshoff family from 1859-1947, including the 1859 Sprite and the 1914 Aria. Also displayed are steam engines and photographs chronicling the role of the Herreshoff Manufacturing Co. during the "Golden Age of Yachting". Open daily 10 am - 4pm from June thru October.
