Located within the 1880
Newport casino which was host to the United States National Lawn Tennis Championships, now the US Open, from 1881-1914. The site includes 13 grass tennis courts, which are open for public play. The facility presents tennis history and memorabilia of tennis greats. Interactive video disc presentations let visitors test their tennis savvy. A professional tournament takes place in July. During tournaments the museum is open only to tournament ticket holders. Open daily; closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
