Observation Tower

At Hannah Robinson Park

Overlooking Bonnet Shores, this 100-ft wooden tower is where in 1765 Hannah Robinson fell in forbidden love with her French tutor. The couple eloped, and tragedy resulted. Hannah eventually returned home to die, passing the nearby rock once more. The rock known as Hannah Robinson Rock is where she would sit and cry. Located at the intersection of Rte 138 & 1. Free. Open dawn to dusk.
