Erik Bright makes black and white vessels, ceramic prints, and large scale works using the sgraffito technique. All the pieces are wheel thrown in a white stoneware clay. Black slip is then applied and the pieces are carved in the sgraffito technique. A clear glaze is applied and the work is high fired to cone 8. Each piece is functional and holds water.
