Built of white Georgia marble, it has the 4th largest self-supporting marble dome in the world. Used in building it were 327,000 cubic feet of Georgia marble, 15,000,000 bricks, and 1,309 tons of iron floor beams. It stands 333 feet long, 189 feet wide through the central Rotunda, and 235 feet tall from the terrace to the Independent Mans spear atop the dome. Featured is the orginal Parchment Charter of 1663, granted by King Charles II. Also relics and paintings. Guided tours.
