Originally this piece of land housed a Mill that was finished in 1834, only to burned to the ground shortly after its construction. Deemed a worthy investement by its owners, they decided to rebuild in 1895. This is a fine example of the unique 19th century water mills that formed the very backbone of the New England economy more than a century ago.
