The Audubon Swamp Garden rises from 60 acres of black water in a cypress and tupelo swamp on Magnolia Plantation. It is home to birds, mammals and reptile. There are even alligators. Visitors may enjoy the park by boardwalks, dikes and bridge. Plants in the garden include both local and exotic, all planted with the taste that has made the 320-year-old historic garden of Magnolia Plantation world famous. Concealed benches enable nature lovers to observe the swamp areas without detection.

Plantation cemetery is adjacent to main trail.
