Established in 1911, the Orangeburg National Fish Hatchery raises up to 4,000,000 striped bass yearly, as well as redbreast sunfish. The hatchery also offers fishing on 100-acre lake. Guests may also take advantage of the visitors' center. The center boasts an aquarium, nature trail, and offsite presentations. The hatchery also offers bird watching opportunities.
The Orangeburg National Fish Hatchery is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Admission is free.
