The Battery Carriage House Inn is located in the garden of one of the most gracious houses in Charleston. Built in 1843 in the Greek Revival style, this home was substantially remodeled in 1870 with the addition of the slate mansard roof and bracketed cornice. The Greek revival details of the front drawing room provide a backdrop for eclectic furnishings, including mismatched Regency chairs, a Venetian coffee table, a 1930's sofa, and a sea grass mat. Charleston Museums and restaurants are nearby.
